You'll promote the principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design and Secured By Design within the built environment and regeneration throughout the Force area. Develop the use by the Force of all types of security technology, including CCTV and other electronic or physical systems, as an effective means of preventing or reducing the opportunity for crime. Supporting and representing the interests of the force through partnership working, you'll require excellent interpersonal and computer literacy skills with the flexibility to adapt your communication style and display initiative.
Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in Architecture or Surveying, with relevant experience in application of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) or where no formal qualification exists proven experience in a development and delivery of crime prevention through environmental design is essential. For this role you'll also require a driving licence.

Applicants must be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen or a foreign national free of restrictions. You should also have been resident in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to application. In certain circumstances, it is possible for the minimum residency period for vetting to be waived. This can only be done where it is possible to make, or confirm, in the relevant jurisdictions with local Law Enforcement and National Security bodies, which are equivalent, and of a similar standard, to enquires which would be made in the UK, on both the applicant and all family members and associates. In cases where it is not possible to makes the equivalent checks, the residency criterion will be stringently enforced.
